I looked after a dog for the day, my reward was just to enjoy her company and take her on a walk. So I felt slightly guilty her owners gave me a lovely bunch of flowers, as for me being with the dog was enough.
I needed to accept their kindness, without attaching any guilt or feeling unworthiness to it. Did they need to accept the offer of help without the need to express their thanks in such a generous manner?
